Fernweh & Heimweh (2012-2013)
The Colllage series 'Fernweh & Heimweh' was created with the intention to bring two different worlds and timezones together. By making collages of historical places Eva Gjaltema photographed in Berlin and used outcuts of her dutch grandparents family pictures, she wanted to bridge the complex history of the two countries and create a dialoge between them.
The series was on the shortlist for the Athens Photofestival 2015 and Editors Pick and Conceptual Project at Lensculture
